Black Forest Pastry Shop

I am happy to provide the first review for this wonderful bakery. The shop is owned by two very friendly guys who clearly love what they do. When we went in for the tasting, and even just brief convos on the phone, Dan and Herb's enthusiasm for their cakes and specifically my wedding cake were clear. I've come to appreciate this aspect (i.e., vendor personality) in addition to getting the service itself. We had a fun cake tasting. The carrot cake is out of this world if you like carrot cake.. and my now-husband and I are foodies at heart. We also were first to use their German chocolate squares as wedding favors, which worked out great.. very unique flavors like white chocolate with rose hips. Dan printed us personalized labels for the chocolate. The guys are "old school" - they will write up your order on a slip of paper and show you a photo album of cakes.. but this is part of the charm and they totally had my complete trust and delivered.
