Very Happy Bride
Wedding: 10/8/11
THE ABSOLUTE WORST. I have been a bridesmaid and my friends used Fontana and they seemed to be fine. The last time I was there, however, was six years ago and like I said all seemed fine. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAS HAPPENED! At first, they were great and were helpful when I was looking for my gown. However, once the wedding date started getting close and my gown and my bridesmaids gowns weren't in that's when they were just AWFUL. I ordered my dress in early January and it didn't come in until a week and a half before my wedding in October! But what bothered me the most was the deception of the management and the lack of professionalism of the girls who work there...what attitudes?! If they had told me from the start that I wouldn't get my dress until two weeks before the wedding, I would have been okay. But don't tell me, starting in late July that my dress will be in at the end of the week every time I call and ASK ME IF THE WEDDING DATE I GAVE IS THE ACTUAL DATE!! I had zero confidence in them after that...not to mention blaming the lack of delivery on UPS and Hurricane Irene, especially when they said my dress would be in three weeks before Hurricane Irene hit the area!! I must say, however, Anna and Julia in alterations were great and fitted me and my girls perfectly; they were the only good part of the Fontana experience and I thank them for that. Thankfully my other vendors were top notch and made my wedding experience wonderful. Fontana's was the only vendor/experience that was horrific in the process...STAY AWAY!!

Fontana Bridal came close to ruining my wedding. What I thought would be a pleasant and most enjoyable experience, became a nightmare because of these people. When first arrived they seemed to be on point, accomodating, and reasonable. However as the months came closer to my wedding, they turned out to be the worst possible thing imaginable. I was told my dress would be in a few months prior to the wedding, however to my dismay I did not recieve it until the week prior. They gave me run arounds, excuses, and attitudes like you cannot imagine. They gave me, my son and my fiance different information when we would call (in the same day). They were unable to not only locate my dress, but kept trying to reassure me it would come in. At all possible costs they would make me do more than one alteration in one day and rush it. When I recieved my dress, it did not fit right, and were not accomodating with the alterations themselves. They were very rude and did not want to do what I asked. Also after I bought my dress, I heard from many others of their horrible experiences there. As well as people who were there for fittings when I was. Also I would not recommend their in house headpiece and veil vendor Denise Leli. The headpiece was not the same when I placed the order at the headpiece trunk show at Fontana. And Fontana altered her headpiece. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT!!! USE THIS BRIDAL SALON UNLESS YOU WANT HEADACHES AND AGGERVATION.

all the people were exceptionally nice, especially when it came down to the alterations! Definitely got my moneys worth and would recommend this store to anyone - certainly beats going into nyc!

Totally unreliable. Sales help is fine, but the owners cannot be trusted, and are basically con-artists. Required 5-6 fittings for bride, 5 for m.o.b., and 3 for matron of honor. Order and alterations completed on the day before the wedding! Do not sign anything that authorizes them to charge the balance due on your credit card!

Great Selection of Dresses - Not the best service
Would I go back? No. They have a nice selection of dresses to pick from but not the best service. Make sure to lie to them and give a fake wedding date. They have a tendency to of not getting your dress on time and all the alterations are a rush! Check out other wedding sites and read other reviews. I wish I had read the reviews before hand. A lot of what I recently read I experienced first hand. My sister had a ton of problems along with other brides I met in the store.

Fontana sucks. Do not go there. They have messed up every aspect of my order and do not seem the least bit apologetic about it. Check out Botticelli's in Bronxville-- it is a much more professional establishment that has beautiful gowns and offers wonderful service.

The dress I wore for my wedding was the very first dress I put on. I hadn't even seen it on the rack. I showed my consultant want I liked and she pulled it for me. The only problem I had was than my dress came from a designer in Europe and it took a long time for it to come it. That made me nervous but it got here in plenty of time and everything was great.

DO NOT GO TO FONTANA'S! YES, THEY HAVE BEEN OPEN FOR OVER 100 YEARS, BUT I AM NOT REALLY SURE HOW. I ORDERED MY DRESS OVER A YEAR BEFORE MY WEDDING DATE. I WAS ORIGINALLY TOLD IT WOULD BE READY IN MARCH. I CALLED IN MARCH AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE READY AT THE BEGINNING OF APRIL. CALLED AGAIN THEN AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE READY AT THE END OF APRIL. CALLED AGAIN AT THE END OF APRIL AND WAS TOLD MIDDLE OF MAY. MY DRESS DID NOT COME IN UNTIL THE LAST WEEK OF MAY. I GOT MARRIED THE FIRST WEEK OF JULY. AFTER DEALING WITH THAT AGGERVATION FOR MONTHS, THE WORST OF MY EXPERIENCE AT FONTANA'S OCCURRED. I WAS TO PICK UP MY DRESS THE TUESDAY BEFORE MY WEDDING (I GOT MARRIED ON A FRIDAY). I WENT INTO TO PICK UP MY DRESS AND NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE TO IT. I TRIED THE DRESS ON, FULLY EXPECTING IT TO BE COMPLETED AND NONE OF THE ALTERATIONS AND CHANGES THAT NEEDED TO BE MADE TO MY DRESS A WEEK BEFORE HAD NOT BEEN DONE! THE DRESS HAD NOT EVEN BEEN TOUCHED IN A WEEK! BECAUSE THEY ARE CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS, THEY TOLD ME I COULD NOT PICK UP MY DRESS UNTIL THURSDAY, THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING. BESIDES HAVING TO COMPLETELY REARRANGE MY SCHEDULE I WAS HIGHLY STRESSED TEH DAYS LEADING UP TO MY WEDDING. YES, WHEN I PICKED UP MY DRESS, IT WAS PERFECT, BUT THE STRESS AND AGGERVATION THEY CAUSED ME WAS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND FONTANA'S NO MATTER HOW LONG THEY HAVE BEEN IN BUISNESS.

The only reason I went to Fontana's was to get a Stephen Yearick Gown. The staff at Fontana's on the main floor are stuck up, snotty and just plain rude! My seamstress was wonderful however.
Also, Fontana's tried to charge my mother's credit card for a $900 head piece that I DID NOT WANT OR ORDER!!! And then tried to refuse to credit her! She had to call her crdit card company and put in a complaint and a stop payment and also report them to the better business bureau!!! Do not go there!

I had a memorable experience at Fontana's. They helped me find a dress that fit my personality and look. What I loved about Fontana was that they would let you try on ever dress in the building if you had too. Fortunately I didn't need to do that but I found the perfect one. They gave wonderful advice and I never felt pressured to make a decision. My dress was in with plenty of time to go through alterations. Michelle helped me alter the dress until it was perfect. I also bought my veil and a headpiece through Fontana. these are all wonderful pieces that I hope to keep forever and pass down to my own children. Thanks Fontana for making me feel like a princess : )

They treat you great when you go in upstairs and are looking for a dress. Once you give your money, I feel the service went downhill. I felt like I was waiting for a doctor's visit down in that waiting room- sometimes 25 minutes just to be in the actual room for 2 minutes. And every time I needed an alteration, I had to commute from Washington DC and they weren't very flexible about doing more at once for me. I think I had to go for 4 fittings plus the pick-up. And at every fitting, we asked if they were going to take care of the pulls on the dress (since it was mostly lace) and they kept telling us 'yes they will take care of everything when they press it'. When I went to pick it up 2 days before the wedding, sure enough, pulls everywhere. I was kind of embarrassed for them because while they were taking care of my dress imperfections, another mother of the bride was in the hallway crying because her daughter's dress was not ready and she needed it an hour.

I had a fantastic experience at Fontana's! They have a wonderful array of wedding dresses at a suprisingly mix of price points. I was so happy to have found a dress that fit in my budget. The alterations department was very accomadating and did a great job on my dress.

This is the worst absolute worst place to go shopping for any kind of dress. I have been in two weddings and have had to get my bridesmaid dress here for both. The first time I got it altered here. HUGE MISTAKE. They would call me to tell me it was ready for the next fititng and I got there and they hadn't made any of the previous adjustments. Try to explain that to the supervisor and they get all defensive and accusitive toward me, the customer!.
Second wedding they ordered every single dress for the bridal party too small. All of the girls were busting out of the dress for the wedding. When trying to add more fabric for the dress fontanna's continually said the shipment was delayed and we never received the extra fabric, THOUGH WE WERE CHARGED FOR IT.
ALSO BEWEAR! THEY ALWAYS INCLUDE A CHARGE FOR DOING FITTINGS OF 100 DOlLARS even if you tell them you will have it fitted ELSEWHERE. I HAVE BEEN WAITING 3 MONTHS TO RECEIVE a 200 DOLLAR CREDIT BACK FOR A FITTING I NEVER DID THERE!!!
I will NEVER do business with them again.

Do not bother going to this salon. The owners wife Nancy Fontana constantly reeks of alcohol and whenever I've called the store to check on my gown I am told that "Nancy is on top of it" and that "she runs the ordering dept" Its no wonder gowns arrive days before the wedding! they have a drunk placing the orders!!

The people at Fontana's are a little snooty and sometimes you wait a long time even though you have an appointment but their work is great, my dress and my bridesmaid dresses looked amazing!

I loved my dress and when Fontana was late in pressing the dress they delivered it to my venue, but it looked horrible and there was a heal mark on the train. It was too late to do anything about it. The woman before me had the same problem. Plus, even though I tried the dress 5 days before they said it was fine and didnt need more altering - needless to say I was pulling it up all night. Go to a more friendly and personable shop - avoid Fontana high prices.

After waiting two extra months for my dress, not getting the extra lace that I ordered my dress was finally completed the Friday before my Sunday wedding. GRRR! As for the bussel. All I can say is what bussel. The entire bussel strings and all cam apart. My sister had to make a make shift one out of saftypins, which did not really work either so peopleand chairs were stepping on it. Top top it off the top of my strapless dress kept on pushing down the entire night leading me to be pulling it up all night. In fact onece when my husband was twirling me the entire top fell down leaving my bare to the world.

I am so disgusted with this company, words cannot even begin to express my feelings. I dropped my gown off to be cleaned and preserved back in November (early Nov). I have yet to receive my gown (it is now the end of July). I keep getting told a few more weeks and here I am, months later, without my gown. I am so angry and outraged that clients are lied to and disrespected constantly. That gown cost me over $5000 and they are acting like its not big deal.

As an older first-time bride at 47, I was extremely self-conscious about shopping for a wedding dress. The staff at Fontana's put me immediately at ease. My appointment went extremely well and I found the perfect dress for me. The alterations department sewed my bra into the dress. Once I put my dress on, it was perfect. I did not fuss with it at all. I felt beautiful and comfortable the whole day. When the reception was over, I did not want to take my dress off. Fontana's was the perfect choice for me!

My mom and I both got our dresses at Fontana. In the end we were happy with our dresses but scheduling appointments and receiving the dresses was a problem. I will say that Michelle, one of the tailors that fit our dresses was amazing.
