Heartbeat Dance Band

Heartbeat did an AWESOME job at our wedding. I have been to a lot of weddings and they are up there with the best bands I've heard. We got so many compliments on them from our guests- people were dancing the entire night. Their song list is extensive and includes a good mix of all different types of music and Barbara will work with you to create a song list and plan out the flow of the night- she was so great- very pleasant, flexible, and helpful with suggestions. The whole band was great- great voices and instrumentals- and they definitely followed the mood of the crowd to keep things going. We were extremely happy with Heartbeat- if they are available for your wedding- book them now!

My husband and I wholeheartedly recommend Heartbeat Dance Band for all your wedding music needs. From the start, we were impressed by the band's website, which gives listeners tons of sample songs to listen to in order to help you decide if you like their style. We were blown away from the beginning. It was evident just how talented this group was and we definitely saw the potential for them to come in and liven up our reception. We worked all the details out with Barbara, who manages the band and sings lead vocal. She is a fantastic person to work with. She was always on top of all the details, she clearly explained our roles in picking certain songs out, and she even learned our favorite song for our first dance! If you explain what you are envisioning to her, Barbara will do everything she can to make it happen. She wants your wedding day to be memorable and she truly takes pleasure in doing her part to contribute to the day. We went with Heartbeat's 9 piece option, but they give you the option to have more or less musicians. Our group had 3 vocalists, a drummer, 2 guitar players, a keyboard player, a saxophone player, and a trumpet player. They were absolutely fantastic. We were getting compliments from our guests as early as 10 minutes into our reception about how great the band sounded and how they really got people out on the dance floor. And believe me, it didn't stop there. People were dancing all night as Heartbeat kept the energy going with a selection of songs we had chosen as well as fun songs from many different genres. We left most of the song selection up to them because they are the professionals and we were not disappointed. You cannot go wrong by choosing Heartbeat Dance Band to play at your wedding. It was a great pleasure having them at ours. Oh, and they were just informed that they won The Knot Best of Weddings again for 2012, for the 5th year in a row!

Heartbeat was by far the most professional vendor that we worked with throughout our entire wedding. They are incredibly talented, professional, and flexible. Heartbeat Dance Band performed at our wedding in July. They did an outstanding job! Their upbeat and energetic personalities got everyone dancing on the dance floor. Hearbeat provided top-quality professional entertainment for my wedding. Barbara (leader) is the greatest person to work with; very sensitive to the stress brides have. They play a huge variety of music and unlike many other bands in the area, they don't stop between songs. Non-stop dancing! I can't wait to hire them for our anniversary some day. heartbeat dance band was amazing! barbara is very easy to work with- she is knowledgeable and quick to answer emails, and will really go through all of the details to make sure you are getting exactly what you want. she invited us to hear a showcase at the hyatt in greenwich and we were sold! they sounded great! we went for the 9 piece band and it sounded amazing at our wedding reception. they had the room going for the whole time- people were going nuts on the dance floor! they definitely know how to work the crowd. they are constantly learning new music and we especially enjoyed their "lady gaga medley"! they can read the crowd and play what people want to hear (have a huge list of songs that span many genres) they also did a great job with dictating the flow of the night (cake cutting, first dance, etc) people are still talking about how great our band was. definitely worth every penny!

HeartBeat Dance Band was such a pleasure to deal with since the first day we heard them sing at their showcase at the Greenwich Hyatt. First of all Barbara(band leader and lead singer) is so kind and easy to work with. She will email you back within a day and will learn just about any song thats very important to you. Second, The Band sounds Incredible. My wedding had a diverse group of ages. Some wanted to hear 50's music while some enjoyed more current Hits. Heartbeat has up to nine pieces , each member had there own strength, a rocker, a lead singer, a girl with a bluesy voice, they did it all and well!! When my wedding was over, all people could talk about was the band! I cant reccommend them enough. Me and my wife are trying to figure out who in our family will get married next so we can hear heartbeat again soon. Thank You again HeartBeat!

They say two things make a wedding, the band and the booze. Let me tell you how Heartbeat Dance Band made our wedding reception. Not a soul was sitting the entire night! They are amazing entertainers and really know how to get the party started. My husband plays the drums as a hobby and they invited him up to play a few songs with them. Barbara Lavalle is extremely nice and very easy to work with. This is definitely the band you want at your wedding!

We had a 12 piece band and they were out of this world. They played everything we asked for and they were HIGH ENERGY! They got everyone to be on the dance floor. Their sound was amazing! we reccomend them 110%. They are very professional and very easy to get along with and very accommodating!

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! They had everyone on the floor ALL night! The songs they chose were fabulous, and the performance was amazing. The even let my dad sing a song with them, which is a family tradition for us. They learned two new songs we requested, and they sounded great. Exceptional band! Fabulous! Outrageous! Had EVERYONE dancing! One of the reasons our wedding was so phenomenal was definitely this band. Barbara organized so much, directed when to do this, when do to that, it was beyond my wildest expectations! They are just incredible- a ton more rave reviews are at weddingreports.com (that's where I first heard of them) Just an over-the-top band! They have the most amazing repetoir, their voices are incredible, and they have real personality! Highly HIGHLY recommended to make your wedding/event incredible! They also did our ceremony music (two musicians) and were awesome there as well!!!

They were great! I come from a family of musicians and they all approved of this band. Barbara really worked with me to incorporate special elements into the evening such as the band backing up my dad for a song and Barbara playing my music at the ceremony. They were a pleasure to work with and people are still talking about them from my May wedding!
