DO NOT GO THERE!!! Some of the staff are as sweet as cae be, others are just outright rude and disrespectful to client! They were sweet as pie until I purchased my dress after that, they were useless!! Ordered my dress and mothers of the bridal dresses there 9 months before my wedding. My dress came in around June, but wasn't called about altering until 2 weeks before the wedding. As for my mom's dress, they called her to start alterations in early May. 3 days before the wedding we were calling to find out they had never worked on the dress and that there was still dresses ahead of her's to be altered. We went on the Wednesday (my wedding was Friday) and the alterations on my mom's dress were terrible, uneven hem and sleeves were supposed to be moved but never were. Of course we needed to take the dress as is with the wedding 2 days away. Picked up my dress that day to get home and open the bag to see the beads were falling off the dress. The bussle broke after being up for 5 minute at my wedding. After calling to complain I was told, no big deal about the bussle or the beads as long as my day was nice, I should be happy. DO NOT GO THERE!!

Nice shop I didn't get my dress there because I found a very unique piece somewhere else but they really do a great job trying to help you out, recommending and they carry a nice variety of dresses from all prices.

My wedding gown and the maids of honor's gowns turned out beautiful. We were very pleased with our choices and the wedding guests said the gowns were beautiful. The sales people and dressmakers were very cooperative. Marie and Bernie Annicelli

Absolutely terrible service and a complete nightmare. I was stressed out until the day of my wedding because of these people. In addition, the staff there are unprofessional and extremely rude to their customers. Not only did my girls wait too many months for their dresses, the week before the wedding I got a call saying the dresses were in... but in a different color! Not only that but they said it was the fault of "the people in china". I was so angry and have never screamed at anyone so much in my life, the girls ended up getting their dresses by the end of the week. Never EVER again.

Meme's is THE WORST bridal shop I have ever been to. The owner, Margaret, was horrible to work with. She was rude, loud and nasty. I couldn't believe that she was so horrible and unprofessional. I can't understand how she is still in business. I got my bridesmaid dresses there and would never, ever recommend for anyone to go there for anything. So all of my bridesmaids went to get fitted for the dresses 11 months before my wedding (by the end of Oct 2009 and my wedding was Sept 2010). They were supposed to take a few months, so would obviously be in early. I called every couple of months once the spring came around and was told they would call when they were in. Well August 1 comes and I'm calling asking where the dresses are because some of my girls are on vacation or their own honeymoon and the wedding is in 7 weeks. I, of course, get a nasty response from Margaret. Finally the dresses come in and one of my girls goes for her fitting. The dress was 3 inches too short and had an odd piece of material at her hip that was sticking out too much. Margaret blamed my bridesmaid for being too tall and wearing heels. We explained that it was her responsibility to order the correct size since she was doing the measurements and of course she was going to wear a heel. She's in her twenties and wearing a gown!!!! Then Margeret lied and said that the cutoff for ordering extra length was 5'9". My friend is 5' 8" I called the designer and they said there is no cut off, it's up to the store owner's judgment, but 5'7" is usually considered tall and in need of extra length, especially with heels. The seamstresses, who were very nice, tried to fix it, but since there was no material to work with, they couldn't. 5 weeks before the wedding, we demanded that Margaret order a new dress with extra length at her cost, since it was her mistake. She continued to blame the bridesmaid and changed her story several times. Finally the dress came in 4 days before the wedding. Luckily my friend didn't need alterations and was able to just take the dress. Meme's also waited on many of the other bridesmaids until the last minute to do alterations. My bridesmaids all went for their fittings 6 weeks before the weddings, yet when I called asking why the dresses weren't ready 10 days before the wedding, I was told that they work in order of event, so they were still working on the upcoming weekend's dresses. There's so much more I could share, but the bottom line is every other vendor I worked with was professional and provided a great service, Meme's was the one vendor that was unprofessional and horrendous to work with. Margaret made the bridal experience unpleasant when I had to deal with her. I honestly can't believe that she is still in business!!!!! Please don't put yourself through this!!!!!

I did not purchase my dress at MeMe's but I did have them alter it. I needed quite a bit of alterations because I lost about 25 lbs from the time I purchased my dress. I went in for my first fitting in early June, expecting to hear from them by mid July for a second fitting since we never went over the bustle and I knew it would probably have to be taken in more. The first fitting went well..very easy. By July I hadn't heard from them and called to check on the dress. They said they hadn't even started on the alterations, which was upsetting because I did the fitting in enough time. For about 2 weeks I kept calling and they kept telling me to hold tight, right up until about 2 weeks before my wedding..not cool. The one thing though, is every time I called they were very nice and professional just not giving me clear answers. Finally at about the 2 week mark before the big day they called and said I could come in to do the bustle. When I went the dress fit perfectly and was altered which surprised me since a couple days prior they said it hadn't been worked on. Anyway, the alterations came out wonderfully, she even accounted for extra weight loss I would have. About 3 days after my final fitting they had it pressed and the bustle ready for me to go. A warning to brides...they do the dresses in date order and are quick. So even if you've done your fitting way in advance and its still not done up until the 2 week mark..don't worry, all you're going to do is stress yourself out. It would be nice if MeMes told you this from the beginning so your not a nervous wreck..but it all worked out in the end!

I bought my wedding gown and ordered my 8 Alfred Angelo bridesmaid dresses from MeMe's. The consultants were wonderful and very helpful. I found they actually told me the truth about how a gown looked on me, which was refreshing compared to some other local salons where they told me that *every* dress looked sooo good on me, even though I knew it didn't! That gets annoying after awhile, and I enjoyed their honesty. They also allow you to take pictures of you in the dresses, which most salons don't allow. They were truly excited when we found "the" gown and Theresa did a great job on the alterations. I bought one of their veils but I wanted more crystals on it, and it was no problem for them to add it. They have a huge bridesmaid selection which can be overwhelming at first, but they were great at helping me narrow down the BM look I was going for. Just be sure to order your dresses months in advance- it's true when they say it takes about 4 months for dresses to come in (it's true for any salon). (I was in the store when a bride was getting upset at the consultants bc she was still waiting for her BM dresses to come in, but she waited too long to order them, so it's not the salon's fault!!) I also found a nice, subtle crystal hair pin at MeMe's that I liked, and my mom found a purse to match her dress. My mom didn't get her gown there, but they have a very nice selection of Mom dresses and Flower Girl dresses. I also saw a sign that they rent tuxedos. It's a cute little store, lots of things to look at and buy. Oh,and make sure you make an appt for alterations or to come in and look for dresses, it's helpful to work with a consultant than wander around by yourself!

When I went to try on dresses and found my dress at this store I was more than happy with the service. The disaster started when I went for my fittings. I was told by the sales person that their seamstress was excellent and would not disappoint, well that was far from the truth. After my 3rd fitting and the dress was still not fitting right, the seamstress was not listening to me, so I took my dress and left. I found another seamstress who was horrified by the chop-shop job they had done to the inside of my dress. Within one fitting the new place had my dress fitting me. For the $450 at MeMe's it was not worth one bit of the seamstress work I got. I had to pay an additional $200 to have my dress fixed by someone else. I had a winter wedding, I couldn't imagine what it would have been like during a busy time.

I have mixed feelings about Meme's. At first glance Margaret was willing to work with me in finding my perfect dress even it I had to find it at another store and then she'd order it. She promised me a deal because she was friends with my designer. It was not a deal. The ladies that work there were all lovely. My piece of advice to all brides out there tell them you are getting married a week before you actual wedding date. They waited until the last minute and it was very frustrating to get any answers on the phone. I was still doing alterations a few days before the wedding. They were just as bad with my bridesmaids they wouldn't schedule it until the very end. They do alterations in order of wedding date not when you go in for your fitting. I walked in one day unexpected and saw my dress just hanging in the seamstress room untouched since my fitting which was a month ago. They did the job though and it came out beautiful. The seamstress are amazingly talented. Margaret you have to take with a grain of salt.
